Legal Aid of Nebraska provides free legal assistance to eligible low-income residents who are affected by state-declared disasters. Assistance may include help with insurance claims, disaster relief applications, temporary housing, evictions, home repairs, emergency benefits, child custody and child support, and replacing ID cards and other important documents.
The organization operates from offices across the state. In addition to providing the services mentioned above, Legal Aid of Nebraska hosts disaster preparedness workshops and presentations for the general public.
