The Consumer Protection Division protects Arkansas consumers from fraud. Contact the division if you have a fraud complaint about a contractor doing repairs on your home. Examples of fraud include if the contractor you paid never showed up to do the work, did not finish the work, or did a very poor job. The division also provides tips on how to avoid fraud when hiring a contractor for repairs.
You also can report price gouging. This is when companies hike the prices of essential items after a natural disaster, such as food, water, medicines, home repair supplies, and gasoline.
