About Heartland Flood Help

Serving AR, IA, MO, NE, and OK

Heartland Flood Help is a project of the Legal Services Corporation (LSC)  – the single largest funder of civil legal aid for low-income Americans in the nation. LSC operates as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that promotes equal access to justice and provides grants for high-quality civil legal assistance to low-income Americans.

LSC’s grantees help low-income disaster survivors with issues such as insurance claims, federal disaster assistance, housing arrangements, and rent-gouging and evictions. LSC created this website to encourage residents of Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma to take steps — before flooding occurs — to lessen or prevent flood damage and better prepare themselves for recovery.
